Q.1) Important Geophysical phenomena such as earthquakes, Tsunami, Volcanic activity, cyclone, etc.

Q.4)Aptitude and foundational values for Civil Service, integrity, impartiality and non-partisanship, objectivity, dedication to public service, empathy, tolerance and compassion towards the weaker sections.

 

Question 1)

Even after local coal-iron resources are depleted, the steel and heavy engineering industries do not frequently shift their location, why? Analyse. (15 Marks)

Question 2)

India has to find a way to work in the Indo – Pacific and assert its unique identity. Discuss. (15 Marks)

Question 3)

Define the concept of carrying capacity of an ecosystem as relevant to an environment. Explain how understanding this concept is vital while planning for sustainable development of a region. (15 Marks)

Question 4)

“The strength with which an attitude is held is often a good predictor of behaviour. The stronger the attitude the more likely it should affect behavior. We often or usually expect the behaviour of a person to be consistent with the attitudes that they hold.” Comment. (15 Marks)
