SDRF has been constituted by each state under the provisions of Disaster Management act 2005.
It was constituted based on the recommendations of the 13th Finance Commission.
Funding: Earlier, the government of India contributed 75% and 90% of the total yearly allocation of SDRF to general states and special category states respectively. In the post GST era, with regard to the contribution of states and the centre in SDRF, it has been decided to implement the 14th FC recommendation, w.e.f 01.04.2018.
