Dear Students,
The mains results have been announced and we congratulate all those who advance to the next level.
At the same time, this is also a moment of sadness for those who worked so hard and weren’t able to make it.
We wanted to share some insights that will hopefully help you move past the moment of grief and get you back in full spirits.
– There were approx 1900 selections which are by far very less when compared to those in previous years.
– If you have gotten this far, then you have it in you to make it. Don’t let anybody tell you that you cannot clear the exam – not even yourself.
– It doesn’t matter if you have failed twice or thrice. Don’t be fixated on the idea that you will fail again. It doesn’t work that way. Life doesn’t work like that.
– In the last few years, AIR 1s have been over 4-5 attempt holders (except Tina Dabi). Other rankers have had a similar journey. Very rarely will you find someone with 1-2 years of preparation cracking the exam? In case you do, they either start very early or have already built a solid base by following newspapers for decades.
Folks, the level of the competition is immense. It is not like how it used to be 3-4 years back. Very good students with really good writing skills are appearing for the exams. We are seeing such innovative answers from first-timers that it amazes us.
This means that even if you are a senior player, you will have to up your game. The subjective nature of the exam leaves many factors on luck. This reduces the scope for errors. In such a scenario, you need mentors who can take your preparation to the next level.
