In introduction, your idea to define communalism is good…rather than writing ‘having different secular interests’ in that line, you can mention ‘where mutual co-existence with others become difficult’.
In reasons, some prominent ones like historical reasons (policy of British-separate electorates, partition etc), role of mass media in recent times are missing. Other points are fine. Good use of flowchart. Try to write within the margins.
In next part, about Indian secularism diagram is good, keep the explanation brief. You need to explain the suitability and shortcomings of the model in addressing communalism- so that should be the focus. Point on bringing progressivity in religions is good. Other than that you can mention that Indian secularism accommodates the fears and apprehensions of the minorities, recognises both individual and community-based minority rights, allows use of religious symbols in public, facilitates socio-economic development of minorities through specific schemes etc.
Some shortcomings of the model that can be mentioned are absence of UCC, can be used for appeasement politics, vulnerable to manipulation by vested interests such as forced conversions etc
You can use a table to address both parts simultaneously.
In last part, you can suggest how to improve the secular model rather than ways to curb communalism.
Keep practicing. Check out the model answer. 🙂

Introduction first line is fine, however, communalism and communist are two different things, don’t mix them up.
Reasons for communalism are written well, some points are quite good, such as role of SM(can broaden it to role of media), vote bank politics, legislative inefficiency etc. some However, some prominent ones like historical reasons (policy of British-separate electorates, partition etc), socio-economic backwardness, relative/perceived deprivation (Sachar committee report can be used) etc are missing.
In next part, first briefly explain Indian model of secularism. After that since the question asks to “discuss” both the suitability and shortcomings of the model in addressing communalism needs to be mentioned. In suitability, first and 3rd points are fine. In 2nd point, don’t use the term ‘other community’…you can just say intermixing of cultural symbols. Other than that you can mention that Indian secularism accommodates the fears and apprehensions of the minorities, recognises both individual and community-based minority rights, allows use of religious symbols in public, allows for progressive interference by government such as in Sabarimala case, triple talaq etc, facilitates socio-economic development of minorities through specific schemes etc.
Some shortcomings of the model that can be mentioned are absence of UCC, can be used for appeasement politics, vulnerable to manipulation by vested interests such as forced conversions etc
You can use a table to address both parts simultaneously.
Conclusion is decent. Please check out the model answers.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Whatever you have written is good but you have disproportionately addressed both parts. The 2nd part of the question needs to be addressed better.
Introduction is apt. Reasons mentioned for communalism are also fine. Last point can be substantiated by mentioning Sachar committee report.
In next part, you have rightly started with explaining the Indian model of secularism. After that since the question asks to “discuss”, both the suitability and shortcomings of the model in addressing communalism needs to be mentioned.
Suitability is fine, some constitutional articles can be mentioned in 2nd point. Recognition of both individual and community-based minority rights, allowing use of religious symbols in public, facilitating socio-economic development of minorities through specific schemes etc. can be mentioned.
Some shortcomings of the model that can be mentioned are absence of UCC, can be used for appeasement politics, vulnerable to manipulation by vested interests such as forced conversions etc
You can use a table to address both parts simultaneously.
Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂
