Introduction is fine, you can mention some examples such as Antarctic ice sheet and the
Greenland ice sheet.
Next part about importance is also decent, further you can talk about their influence on the weather and climate (Large high-altitude plateaus on the ice caps alter storm tracks and create cold
downslope winds close to the ice surface) and role in maintaining earth’s energy balance.
Impacts mentioned are fine, coastal submergence and flooding can be mentioned in 1st part too, especially the impact on small island states. Melting of ice sheets is changing the circulation of ocean currents and has been linked to more destructive storms and hurricanes which can be talked about too.
Next part about impact on India is fine, GLOFs etc can be mentioned.
Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂
