Mentor’s Comments-
- Contextualise the argument with recent examples such as reserving tickets for women only in elections, promising freebies, policies such as prohibition etc
- Highlight the limitations of the argument on multiple fronts such as low representation in legislatures, intersectional identities other than gender, no consolidated vote bank etc.
- On the positive side, mention some policies and schemes for the welfare of females initiated irrespective of vote bank politics.
- Provide a balanced conclusion on the issue.

Hello
Intro is fine..after that substantiate the statement given in question by giving recent examples which target female vote-banks specifically pre-election such as reserving tickets for women only in elections, promising freebies to housewives, policies such as prohibition in Bihar etc
Then mention challenges of such approach..you have written positives and negatives all under one subheading.. ‘critical analysis’ is missing..you need to write few points on why vote bank politics is not sufficient..mention that there is no consolidated women vote bank in the first place, other identities like caste, class also play an important and voting behavior depends on all of these, you have mentioned representation of women in parliament/legislatures is low- that is good.
Then mention the way forward in which you can mention some schemes for the welfare of females initiated irrespective of vote bank politics. (sukanya samriddhi etc is good)
Conclusion is fine but pretty short.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Shri Ram,
Nice answer. Intro is fine. Analysis is good too, you have covered most points- some positives can be mentioned too(for example increase in voting, benefits of prohibition etc)
However, mention a way forward…give example of some schemes initiated for women especially in social fields without keeping vote bank in mind.
Conclusion is good.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Decent attempt, intro is fine..you can also talk about the prohibition law in Bihar enacted with an eye on women vote bank..its positives can be mentioned too in the next part.
Positives are fine, you can keep it concise..because vote bank politics is not considered good generally.
In negatives add some points, question asks you to analyse in context of ”electoral mobilisation”..so you can mention that there is no consolidated women vote bank in the first place, other identities like caste, class also play an important and voting behavior depends on all of these.
Other points are fine..you can also talk about fiscal burden etc
In the next part mention some schemes in health and education sector which have been initiated for women irrespective of vote bank and the need to continue the same. Other points are fine, conclusion is good.
Keep writing. 🙂

Intro is fine, after that you need to mention some promises announced pre-election which targets female vote bank for example reservation of tickets for women in UP, monthly income announced by AAP in Punjab etc..Sukanya Samriddhi and Triple talaq were announced for welfare or to correct wrongs post-election..not necessarily for vote bank..you can mention these in way forward along with the others you have mentioned.
Further ‘critical analysis’ is missing..you need to write few points on why vote bank politics is not sufficient..mention that there is no consolidated women vote bank in the first place, other identities like caste, class also play an important and voting behavior depends on all of these, further giving tickets is not sufficient as we can see that representation of women in parliament/legislatures is too low(insert some data).
Your attempt is decent but the answer looks more like a way forward..”Critically examine in the context of electoral mobilisation” is the key here..conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing…try to pick subheadings from the question and write on those lines only. 🙂

Decent attempt..intro is fine..examples are good, positives are also okay but next part about challenges can be better..’critical analysis’ and ‘electoral mobilisation’ are keyword here..so you need to mention how these promises are insufficient or vote bank politics is not enough..mention that there is no consolidated women vote bank in the first place, other identities like caste, class also play an important and voting behavior depends on all of these, further giving tickets is not sufficient as we can see that representation of women in parliament/legislatures is too low, fiscal burden can also be mentioned.
Other two points are fine.
Way forward and conclusion is good.
Keep practicing. 🙂
