Introduction-
Point out the unique geographical location of Indian subcontinent endowed with various deltas including the largest delta in the world.
Body-
Highlight the phenomenon of shrinking deltas of Indian rivers.
Using evidence, provide the factors responsible for it.
Compare this phenomenon in terms of rate of shrinking among different rivers.
Then briefly suggest solution for halting the phenomenon.
Conclusion-

Sehaj,
Your Introduction is crisp and well articulated.
You have Written same point twice on the first page. You should avoid repetition. Add points like widespread mining, increased intensity of hydro and meteorological phenomenon like cyclone, tsunami, rising sea level etc.
In way forward you have given ideological backing to shift in the way we developed but you need to write pragmatic points first then only such points in way forward would have values otherwise it seems just talk no business.
Looking at the severity of the issue and its far reaching impacts on millions of people in India and across the world, there is a need for adopting urgent and strong mitigation measures against the anthropogenic factors like
-Study impacts of sediment retention by dams on delta population and ecosystems.
-Study the optimal level of sediments (and water regime) needed for stabilising deltas and reducing subsidence.
-Where delta subsidence, coastal erosion and related impacts like salinity intrusion and storm surges has reached serious proportions, specifically problematic dams should be considered for decommissioning.
-Reduction in ground water utilisation through shifting to better industrial and irrigation practices and less water intensive crops suited to geography.
-Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions etc.
Also write conclusion separately, not in link with way forward. As both have different significance.
Sehaj, I’m sorry for delayed evaluations. However I hope that it will helpyou in writing better answers.
I wish you all the best for the preliminary examination. Stay in touch with Mains answer Writing Atleast till the 15-20th of aug. After that your sole focus should be Prelims.
