Introduction is fine, but you can first define the region and then talk about its significance rather than going the other way round.
Significance is fine, you can also talk about the region being home to 60% of the world’s population and 2/3rd of the global economic output; examples of choke points like Malacca, source of FDI etc can be mentioned. Plus, instead of signaling out China as the aggressor, you can mention about the region being the theatre of geo-strategic competition. The region is not significant because China is aggressive, rather China is aggressive because the region is significant.
Points in next part are fine, but this is a more broader question than trade- so trade is one good point, next two points should be a bit concrete/ can back up with examples. You can talk about increasing maritime awareness through intelligence gathering and surveillance; Using A&N islands as a military and naval base; strategy of all-alignment (Quad as well as SCO etc).
Challenges and conclusion are fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂
