article/opinion/columns/eu- india-and-the-indo-pacific- 7580525/ - In the intro, mention the release of the EU’s Indo-Pacific strategy.
- In the body, mention the influence of China’s expansionism, security interest, diversification of value chains, emphasis on ASEAN, and general emphasis on economic interest. In the next part, mention India’s mention in certain parts and influence of Germany rather than France on the overall policy document.
- Conclude by mentioning that though the strategy document seems to be driven by economic interest, China’s behaviour may force the EU and Germany to change their mind in the near future.

Nice answer, introduction and points about the strategy document are well written.
However, also mention some positive points like interest in deeper engagement with India, partnership over diversifying supply chains of APIs and Covax facility etc.
Also, if possible mention a brief way forward, need for better engagement, similar concerns in Indo-Pacific, free trade agreements etc can be mentioned there.
Keep practicing, try to use your own words as much as possible for better retention. 🙂

Debajyoti,
In the introduction mention about the strategy document released by EU recently for Indo-Pacific. You have gone a bit too basic by defining Indo-Pacific and all, 10 marks question don’t have so much scope.
While writing about the strategy, all points written in black can be made concise to one point- that these are the areas EU is going to focus on. Then mention the approach on China; sanctions regime it supports for human rights violations; security is a low priority area etc. Make the answer more diverse.
Next try to mention some positive cooperation areas with India- interest in deeper engagement with India, partnership over diversifying supply chains of APIs and Covax facility etc.
Give a proper conclusion, avoid writing new points in conclusion, you can mention that although the present focus of EU is low on India, all this can change with China’s aggressive behavior. The points you have written can be mentioned in a brief way forward before conclusion.
Keep practicing. Stick to what has been asked and diversify your answer in that area only. 🙂

Very generic answer, please go through the article mentioned above and work on your content in order to improve. You need to mention what are the areas given in the document which EU is focusing on, its stand on China, sanctions regime it supports for human rights violations, security is a low priority area etc
Also mention some positive cooperation areas with India- interest in deeper engagement with India, partnership over diversifying supply chains of APIs and Covax facility etc.
Implications on other countries like China, Japan is not asked and not relevant here. Instead you can mention a way forward for Ind-EU partnership.
Conclusion is also a bit out of place, India cannot possible force blocks to make strategies according to her, rather you can mention that although the present focus of EU is low on India, all this can change with China’s aggressive behavior.
Keep practicing, work on your content a bit. 🙂

Nandhini,
Good attempt, presentation is good, content is also fine. You have covered more or less the important points, regarding China you can mention EU’s approach in a bit detail- while pushing back where fundamental disagreements exist with China, it will also pursue its multifaceted engagement with China.
Regarding positive role of India in the later part, you can talk about partnership over diversifying supply chains of APIs and Covax facility etc
If possible, write a brief way forward for the Ind-EU partnership looking at the converging interests they have in Indo-Pacific. Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂
