opinion/op-ed/technology-is- no-panacea-for-custodial- deaths/article65595779.ece - In the intro, mention the menace of custodial torture and deaths in India.
- In the body mention various technologies used for interrogation and their effectiveness. In the next part, mention ethical and legal concerns.
- Conclude by mentioning the need for multi-pronged strategy in terms of legal provisions, technology, accountability, training and community relations.

Introduction is fine, some data related to custodial deaths could be mentioned in addition. (Between 2001 and 2018, 1,727 persons died in police custody, but only 26 policemen were convicted for such deaths.)
Next part is very generic, you need to mention some of the technological solutions that are being used for interrogation such as body cameras and automated external defibrillators; Deception detection tests (DDTs), which deploy technologies such as polygraph, narco-analysis and brain mapping; robots for surveillance and bomb detection; automated interrogation technology called The Automated Virtual Agent for Truth Assessments in Real-Time; AI and ML tools that can detect human emotions and predict behaviour.
Concerns are still fine.. risk of bias, the peril of automated interrogation tactics, the threat of ML algorithms targeting individuals and communities, and the hazard of its misuse for surveillance could also be added though.
Way forward is fine, proof of evidence of not having tortured on police, stringent action for violation (DK Basu vs State of WB), compassionate policing can be mentioned.
Conclusion is fine.
This question was mainly about whether new age technology used in interrogation can eliminate custodial torture.. You can go through the article attached above for details.. Tech aspect is lacking in your answer.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Please mention your reference ID for reviews.
Your attempt is very good, both content and presentation are fine.
Intro is good.
Technological solutions have been also adequately mentioned, drawbacks are fine.
In way forward you can use hub-spoke diagram for better presentation, points are good, DK Basu vs State of WB judgement can be mentioned.
Conclusion is good, you have gone through the article and written well. Keep practicing. 🙂

Hello
Broadly you have written well. The structure of the answer is good.
However, you could do value addition in each part.
In intro, some data related to custodial deaths could be mentioned in addition. (Between 2001 and 2018, 1,727 persons died in police custody, but only 26 policemen were convicted for such deaths.)
Further, in next part, some newer technological developments could be added- body cameras and automated external defibrillators; Deception detection tests (DDTs), which deploy technologies such as polygraph, narco-analysis and brain mapping; automated interrogation technology called The Automated Virtual Agent for Truth Assessments in Real-Time etc.. Just mentioning should be fine.. No need to go into details. Other points mentioned by you are good.
Issues are fine, conclusion is good too.. You could also mention the recommendation of law commission which proposes amending the evidence act to place burden of proof on police.
Keep practicing. 🙂
