article/opinion/columns/ national-family-health-survey- demographic-transition- 7649702/ - In the intro, mention the findings of the NFHS-5 survey that indicates India reaching a replacement level of fertility.
- In the body, mention implications of the declining fertility rate and its asymmetric nature which forces the southern states to rely on the workforce from the relatively younger states. In the next part mention the dimension of federalism such as a freeze in the allocation of Lok Sabha seats and division of central allocation to states.
- In the conclusion mention that the Sixteenth Finance Commission and the next Delimitation Commission must be freed from the burden of managing the demographic transition, focused on carrying out their tasks in the best interests of Indian federalism.

Hello
In intro you have mixed up two separate issues, first talk about NFHS-4, then mention abou migration.
Also, straightaway don’t write that federal structure need to be changed- mention your argument first- then come to a conclusion.
Also points are very generic, read upon the issues before writing..mention implications of the declining fertility rate and its asymmetric nature which forces the southern states to rely on the workforce from the relatively younger states. In the next part mention the dimension of federalism such as a freeze in the allocation of Lok Sabha seats and division of central allocation to states by the Finance Commission.
Just mentioning that federalism needs to be looked from population angle is not sufficient..mention some specifics..like delimitation, FC issues etc

Intro is good. Implications are also fine, mention economic implications too especially dependence of southern states on migrant unskilled/semi-skilled labour from northern states in industries mainly..
Points mentioned in impact on federalism are nice but you have mentioned just the current structure..build your argument too on that basis..what should be the way forward in the context of NFHS-5 findings.
Inter-state issues and tug of war for more resources based on population (river water, minerals etc) can also be written.
Conclusion is fine, but the statement about replacement rate effecting 5 trillion economy target is a bit far-fetched..you can avoid that..better mention the need for balance between states/regions to keep the country on the growth path overall.

Try to write more relevant to the question intro, you can mention recent NFHS-5 data on fertility. Challenges mentioned are fine(in first point you can mention migration from northern states, so southern states dependence on those states can be mentioned as challenge) , in federalism part, points are quite generic..too much focus on ethnic clashes etc- not so relevant.
Mention about the seat distribution in LokSabha according to population till 2031- which needs a relook, now that all states have performed decently in reducing TFR, is it valid to punish northern states for demographic dividend? Also FC devolution has a component of demographic performance..is it relevant..these angles should be discussed. Some points like tension b/w centre-state, chances of conflict are fine.
Conclusion is fine but can incorporate your view in the above issues.
