opinion/lead/fathoming-the- new-world-disorder/ article37947499.ece - In the intro, mention the US withdrawal from Afghanistan after fighting a protracted war there.
- In the body, mention the implications for India in the form of security challenges and challenges in dealing with China and Pakistan.
- Next, mention the realignment in the US foreign policy which focuses on dealing with China and mention the role for India in it. In the need for maintaining the strategic autonomy as India aligns closely with the US.
- Conclude by mentioning the need for India to tackle the challenges posed by the changing geopolitical order by focusing its own strengths and balancing by forming coalitions whenever it is necessary.

Intro is fine, last year(??), withdrawal took place this year only..in the next part write few more examples to substantiate ‘transition of global order from American unipolarity’ – you can mention Russian annexation of Crimea, China sending fighter jets in Taiwan air zone, conflict with Iran in west Asia etc
Broadly your points are fine but generic so you can use above examples to make it more impactful.
Implications for India part is fine, economic implications can also be included, dependence on China etc
In suggestions, mention about need for strategic autonomy and independent foreign policy.
Other points are fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂

While your intro is good, your answer is too much focused on Afghanistan. Mention some other examples too which substantiate ‘transition of global order from American unipolarity’ – you can mention Russian annexation of Crimea, China sending fighter jets in Taiwan air zone, conflict with Iran in west Asia, formation of different alliances etc
In implications for India, points are fine but again don’t restrict to Afg, you can include Indo-Pacific, economic angle, dependence on China aggravating the look out for other resilient supply chains..
Next part is good, also write a point specifically for what should India’s way be going forward (strategic autonomy, independent foreign policy keeping in mind its national interests etc).
Use Afghanistan as a background context but answer the question broadly about changing geopolitical order.
Keep practicing. 🙂
