- In the introduction, mention the cut in India’s growth forecast by IMF. Compare it with the growth rate in the previous fiscal year.
- Next, talk about India’s poor performance in some fields such as creating jobs, investment rates, policy measures etc
- In next part, mention that issues have been aggravated due to poor global showing.
- Write a brief way forward.
- Conclude suitably.

Overall your answer is decent and makes for a good read but some context is missing.
IMF has downgraded the growth forecast of many countries and this is also in large measure due to the global anxiety. Since you are asked to critically analyze, you need to bring these dimensions in the answer. Also, this is a 15 marker so some deeper insight will be expected.
Introduction is fine.
Next, performance in job creation, investment and poverty reduction are also explained well but you can keep these short, just mention the figures to show the mixed performance. You can also mention that inflation has been rising and rupee fell to an all time low.
Next, you can mention the major reasons for these issues have been global ( pandemic, Russia-Ukraine war) and substantiate by saying that almost all currencies are falling w.r.t dollar and inflation is high in larger part of the world.
Way forward is decent. Fiscal policy interventions to reduce wealth disparity, promotion of a better investment climate and perfecting policies such as GST can be added.
Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Decent attempt. In the introduction, if you can mention the recent projection cut by IMF to 6.1% in the 2022-23 fiscal it will be good. 2021-22 growth rate can be mentioned too to show the mixed situation. Mentioning this will be more relevant and you can avoid that write-up.
Analysis after that is pretty good.
Areas of concern have been mentioned. Policy issues such as demonetization and chinks in GST can be mentioned too.
Next part linking it to to global downturn is also relevant. Russia-Ukraine war can be mentioned here.
Also, you can mention a sub section on way forward as this is a 15 marker and there is decent scope. Points are good, fiscal policy interventions to reduce wealth disparity (inequality is one of the major issues India is facing), promotion of a better investment climate and perfecting policies such as GST can be added.
Conclusion can be modified accordingly.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Introduction is fine, fifth largest economy would be more apt.
Concerns mentioned are also good. High inflation, rising inequality can be added.
Next, since you are asked to analyze you need to mention the causes. IMF has downgraded the growth forecast of many countries and this is also in large measure due to the global anxiety. You need to bring these dimensions in the answer.
Major reasons for these issues have been global (pandemic, Russia-Ukraine war) and substantiate by saying that almost all currencies are falling w.r.t dollar and inflation is high in larger part of the world.
Plus you can add domestic policy measures such as demonetization, issues in GST.
Way forward is decent. No need to mention the schemes here, mention the broad concepts which can be applied going forward- better health and education facilities, infrastructure development etc wil do. Schemes have anyway already been implemented. Fiscal policy interventions to reduce wealth disparity, promotion of a better investment climate and perfecting policies such as GST can be added.
Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Your knowledge is good and your command over the language is also good. But, you are writing answers in an essay framework.
Try to make your points visible to the examiner.
Introduction is good.
In the body try to give suitable subheadings to different sections.
For example, here, since the IMF has downgraded growth rate, there must be areas of concern. So, first mention the areas of concern. Unemployment, policy missteps, lower rate of investment are good points which can be mentioned here. Also, don’t restrict yourself to the article. Rising inequality, pandemic induced poverty, higher inflation, falling rupee etc can be mentioned too. Remember that in GS answers breadth>>depth, so try to include more points rather than explaining a point in detail.
In next part analyse ‘why mixed signals’ – here you can mention that not all causes are domestic, and mention the global causes which you have written after introduction. Russia-Ukraine war, effect of pandemic on supply chains can be mentioned.
Way forward is good, visibility can be improved by writing in points and then concluding.
Keep practicing. 🙂

Good attempt.
Introduction is fine, recheck the data once. It is 6.1% I guess.
Presentation of the answer is good. However, you can go step by step. First, mention the mixed signals by mentioning the negatives and positives here. Points that you have mentioned are good. No need to mention causes here.
In next part, you can mention the causes- both global and domestic and argue that much of the concern has been due to global anxiety and is expected to subside once the situation improves. You can substantiate this by saying that almost all currencies are falling w.r.t dollar and inflation is high in larger part of the world.
Domestic reasons mentioned are fine.
Also, try to write a brief way forward before concluding- Fiscal policy interventions to reduce wealth disparity, promotion of a better investment climate and perfecting policies such as GST can be mentioned.
Conclusion is fine.
Keep practicing. 🙂
Yes Sir, it is 6.1%
