opinion/lead/indian-aviation- needs-a-strong-and-steady- tailwind/article65603834.ece - In the intro, mention India’s poor per capita consumption of air tickets when compared with other countries.
- In the factors mention high taxes, high fuel prices, regulatory hurdles, inefficient public sector airports, lack of regional connectivity despite UDAN. In the suggestions mention reforms in air cargo, airports, aviation fuel taxes, maintenance, repair and overhaul, modernizing DGCA etc.
- Conclude by mentioning that aviation is integral to equitable economic growth, so India needs to focus on the growth of this sector to achieve the equitable growth.

Introduction is fine, India’s poor per capita consumption of air tickets when compared with other countries can be mentioned too.
In next part, points are fine broadly speaking, but some improvements can be made. Avoid singling out a specific airline unless you can mention some incident involving it. In point 4, you can mention the reason- absence of robust competition, and as a result, the airports are extortionist in nature.. In point 5, mentioning ‘no increase in demand’ is a very blanket statement, it should be backed by data or you could mention slow pace of demand growth.. Other points like languishing air cargo growth, absence of a long-term visionary strategic policy, dismal state of MRO segment, stagnant charter business, India’s Aircraft Act, 1934 and Aircraft Rules, 1937 not keeping pace with modern technology in aerospace etc can all be added.
Way forward is fine, reforms in areas of aviation such as air cargo, airports, and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) can be added.
Conclusion is fine.
Go through the article above.
Keep practicing. 🙂
