Decent attempt. Introduction is fine.
In next part, in the subheading mention Union’s ‘food subsidy budget’.
Points mentioned are good. PDS part you have covered well.
Also talk about the pricing issues, the central issue price is very low at Rs 2/kg wheat and Rs 3/kg rice, whereas the economic cost to FCI is quite high.
Moreover, the issue price has not been reviewed since 2013 although the general price of food grains have increased.
One point about pandemic can also be mentioned, it has increased the requirement of food subsidy.
Suggestions and conclusion are good. In suggestions, you can add some newer ideas like UBI, direct cash transfer to needy etc to cut down on food subsidy.
